Why I Built Something Different
I entered the insurance industry after a career in the military and graduate-level work in gerontology. I understood aging. I understood the senior market. I understood what it meant to serve people who trusted you with their most vulnerable decisions.
What I didn't expect was what I found in the insurance distribution channel. Agencies that promised agents the world and delivered a recruiting script. Commission structures designed to enrich uplines at the expense of the agents doing the actual work. "Training" that was really just a funnel for recruiting friends and family.
I watched good people — disciplined, motivated, service-oriented people — get chewed up by a system that was never designed for their success. The industry saying says it all: "Hire them in masses, train them in classes, sell their friends and family, fire their asses."
I decided to build something different. An agency where agents come to sell insurance, not recruit. Where top-level contracts are the starting point, not a reward for building a downline. Where the mentor is actually in the trenches alongside you — not on a stage at a recruiting rally.
My gerontology background shapes how I train agents to serve the senior market — with scientific understanding of cognitive aging, financial vulnerability, and the ethical obligations that come with serving older adults. My RSSA certification gives agents a unique door-opener with seniors that no other agency can teach. My military service shapes how I run this operation: with discipline, integrity, and a clear mission.
